Sectors

We deliver across a variety of sectors from National Government
to the private citizen.

Government

Government clients range from Military through Police and criminal justice. All our capabilities are appropriate to and suitable for the Government sector.

Police & Criminal Justice

We separate our Criminal Justice business into a separate business sector and we have a variety of deliveries and engagements into the criminal Justice system. Our manager of the Criminal Justice business has over 30 years’ experience working on the client side in sector and still provides advice and consultancy into Government organisations.

Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)

Our CNI clients use the wide experience of the GordAlex team in areas beyond technical security.

Our specialist skills have helped with problem solving challenges which have included end to end program delivery – from problem statement and understanding through evaluation, trails, testing and into operational deployment.

Corporate

Our Corporate clients are becoming increasingly aware that if they fail to implement successful security management processes, it could expose them to untenable risk. The role of the corporate information security steering committee has become an important tool in the quest for a coordinated corporate security strategy; for reducing duplication in security spending; for taking control of complex infrastructures and ultimately, for reducing security risk.

One of the first steps for our clients has been to set up a common security team and to embark on enterprise-wide information security programs. However, many of these teams have struggled to align corporate business objectives with strategic security investment. GordAlex can help with this process and have an involvement that is defined and controlled by the client organisation, ranging from a few advisory days through to technical and cyber programme delivery.

SME Clients

Increasingly Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) companies need to take their security, resilience and digital presence responsibilities much more seriously.

A clear and present example of this increasing need is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – the new data protection regulation that comes into force on 28th May 2018. Although it is an EU regulation, it will not be changed by the UK leaving the EU (Brexit). GDPR not only changes how every company and organisation holding any personal data has to manage, protect and audit it, but from 2018 the penalties for failure to comply have been significantly increased. GDPR is just one of the areas in which GordAlex can help our clients.

Private Citizens

In the UK, human rights are protected by the Human Rights Act 1998. The Act gives effect to the human rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights.

Article 8 – the right to respect for your family and private life, your home and your correspondence is one of the rights protected by the Human Rights Act.

This includes the right to protection of your family life, your home your correspondence.

Whilst this may be protected in law, unfortunately not all parties including those with criminal intent respect the law. This is where GordAlex works with private clients who are concerned about these risks.
